Poetry of Presence
Residential Intensive
DanSing The Poetry of Presence is an invocation of our capacity to bring our dancing and dreaming awareness to all areas of our lives. Movement Medicine weaves together the exhilaration of free dance with the depth of movement meditation and the spirit of shamanic practice in order to support us to be who we are and give what we’ve got. Lucid dreaming practice aims to help us sleep better, dream more lucidly and wake up with more awareness, clarity and joy. It is a precursory skill to the practice of Tibetan dream Yoga, an ancient esoteric practice of transformational lucid dreaming. Conscious dreaming is one of the deepest tools we have to know ourselves and Movement Medicine gives us the tools to bring this knowing to the creative project that is life on earth.

Human beings are storytellers and meaning makers. To a large extent, our experience of life is directed by the stories we are telling and the perception that arises from them. And oh the stories we tell! Much of the time, our thinking mind leads us up winding alleys that lead us nowhere. When harnessed, the mind is potentially such a powerful, intuitive tool, especially when connected to the creative capacity of the dancer and the emotional intelligence of the heart. In The Poetry of Presence, you will:
· Align and connect the body, heart and mind through Movement Medicine practice
· Learn practices for gaining lucidity in your dreams
· Practice ‘present moment awareness’ in waking and sleeping
· Dance, write, create ritual theatre and dream
· Re-affirm your role as the co-creator of the life you live and the world we live in

Charlie Morley: has been a self-taught lucid dreamer since the age of 17. He began to teach lucid dreaming within the context of Tibetan Buddhism in late 2008, at the personal request of his mentor and well known meditation teacher Rob Nairn. Soon after accepting Rob’s request to teach, Charlie received the traditional Tibetan Buddhist ‘authorisation to teach’ from Venerable Lama Yeshe Losal. He is Creative Director of the performance collective and dance company Throwdown, who run creative music/dance workshops for disadvantaged young people and have toured the UK and Europe with their professional team.
