* Heart warning: the The Brain That Changes By Itself is an amazing book, written by a psychoanalyst about latest discoveries in neuro science. I (Susannah) found it painful in places in the way that animal experiments are talked about. However, that’s only a part of the book – there is much learning that is fantastic and important, in particular, understanding the mind and how to hone it.
