Dance… the sacred practice of being alive, breathing and moving with what is here.
27th July to 1st August 2020 was scheduled to be the time of the second module of a year-long ongoing group called Medicine Journey. It is said that we can make God laugh by speaking of our plans… Well, module 1 was lost to the quarantine and module 3 (in November) lives in the unknown. But for now, it is possible to meet and dance in Switzerland.
So we warmly invite you to join us for six days of Movement Medicine in the Alps. We will be gathering between the earth, sky and mountain peaks of the Kiental valley. We will dance, be together and pray. We will spend time in focussed study of Movement Medicine practice as a resource to grow and strengthen our living. We will dance in ceremony to call for healing and guidance – for ourselves, for those who need it at this time, and for all our relations. There will be time for movement, time for speaking and listening, time for silence. We will eat, hopefully laugh, cry and find out how we can share space together in these uncertain times.
All dancers welcome, although some prior experience of Movement Medicine or other conscious dance practice is recommended.
We and the venue will of course be upholding official health guidelines with care and vigilance so that everyone can stay healthy.
Christian became one of the first ‘Pathfinder’ teachers of Movement Medicine in 2011 and has worked closely with Ya’Acov & Susannah Darling Khan for over 20 years. Swiss living in England, he uses deep enquiry, good music and a dose of humour to hold movement spaces for personal growth and collective evolution.
Kristin qualified as a Movement Medicine teacher in 2016, having studied and trained in this work since 2001. She brings deep knowledge of the body from her work as a phsyiotherapist, and she holds space with compassion and love, informed by long practice of Buddhist meditation.
